Vedanta Hedging interviewed on BBC Radio 5 Live re: Swap Mis-Selling

‘BBC Radio 5 Live Investigates’ featured swap mis-selling on Sunday 9th December.

The BBC interviewed Michael Whelan about the how he believes he was mis-sold an interest rate swap.

Michael Whelan runs Children’s Nurseries in Newport. He was sold an Interest Rate Swap by Barclays Capital in 2008 with a current break cost of £100k. He talks about the impact this has had on his life and business.

Abhishek Sachdev, Managing Director of FSA Authorised Vedanta Hedging is also interviewed. Vedanta Hedging have advised Michael Whelan.

Mr Sachdev is asked about why Banks are keeping the settlements agreed with SMEs so secret, how these products may have been mis-sold and why SMEs are running out of time to make a legal challenge.
