Amita started her career as a graduate at RBS Financial Markets in 1999 as a trainee derivatives consultant in London. Over the course of 5 years, this role evolved into a relationship management role, working closely with SMEs to help them formulate, execute and manage their interest rate and foreign exchange risk.
Following that, Amita specialised in the Healthcare sector building a thorough understanding of the challenges the sector faced in order to ensure that an appropriate hedging strategy was executed. During this time, Amita was involved in many inflation related discussions and hedging transactions.
in 2013 Amita joined AIB (UK) as a Subject Matter Expert on the IRHP mis-selling review where she advised in this area and also led the technical redress calculations. This role gave Amita the opportunity to assess hedging transactions from a regulatory and compliance perspective.
In 2015 Amita joined Lloyd’s Financial Markets, working closely with Mid-Cap clients with turnover of up to £750 million, to aid them in managing their risk across many asset classes including interest rates, foreign exchange, inflation and commodities.
Amita joined the Vedanta team in February 2017 with a view to provide independent and unbiased risk management advice to SMEs and larger corporates and to provide transparency and fair pricing in a very opaque market place.
